Hey Carol,

The Exoterra tanks are okay but the heating pads are not good at all. For the couple of times I had to buy them, they quit working or never worked right.

Hopefully they hold out for me. I'm actually running two of them right now. The desert under the tank and the rain forest behind the styrofoam background plus the moon light. My enclosure temp is 82*F. I'm having trouble balancing the humidity and temp though, if I spray too much the temp drops to like 75*F or lower and stays there for about 3 - 4 hours. I can hold about 65 -70% humidity no problem at 82*F but anything past that drops the temp... i'm still playing around with stuff so i'll get it eventually.

My log also started to grow white hairy fungus so I have to pull the enclosure apart and clean everything out and then heat treat it.... I'm glad I waited a long time before I put something in it.

I do not use the heating pads either Teena, I am sorry but I do not remember what they are called,I bought those heating cables from J&J Reptiles and I have them all taped down on the left outside glass of the exoterras.I really like the exoterra for my Tarantulas the two doors make it easy to clean I have the substrate about three inches deep. I have two Rose Hair Tarantulas that are completely different in behavior one has a cave dug and the other stays on the surface of the substrate and is happy just using half a clay plant pot for a hide. Neither one of them stay on the cable side where it is the warmest.
